"The faculty and staff in the Hayes School of Music created such a warm, safe, and comfortable learning environment for me. Being far from home, I always knew that I had a family at school. Anytime I had a problem, I had plenty of people I knew I could rely on. The academic aspect of the HSOM was more than I expected. I learned more about music in terms of theory, history, and aural skills than I ever dreamed of learning. The ensembles are also without compare. Being part of those groups of musicians not only fulfilled my requirements, but it also made some days worth going to school.
