Hayes Young Artist Competition - Saturday, March 29, 2008

Winner Receives $24,000 Scholarship ($6,000 for four years)

  • Participants in the Hayes Young Artist Competition will be selected during the first four audition dates and invited to return to campus for the scholarship competition on Saturday, March 29, 2008.
  • The White Wind Scholarship ($3,000 for four years) will be presented to the highest scoring wind player.
  • Participants in the Hayes Young Artist Competition must have completed application to Appalachian State University prior to the competition.
  • Winners must be entering Appalachian State University as freshman music majors in the Hayes School of Music.

 

Audition Dates for Scholarship and Admission to the Hayes School of Music

  • January 19, 2008 All Areas
  • January 26, 2008 All Areas
  • February 9, 2008 Vocal, Percussion, and Guitar
  • February 23, 2008 Strings, Keyboard, and Winds
  • March 29, 2008 All Areas (Admission Only; No Scholarship Awards, except for Hayes Young Artists Scholarship participants).
