Hold the date! The Appalachian Cultural Museum is going to Broadway!Well, technically Broadway is coming to North Carolina. Four wonderful Broadway shows will be a part of the Appalachian Cultural Museum travel program with Bettie and John Bond, this fall and beyond. All are on Sunday, all are matinees, and all are day trips to Charlotte. Tickets are limited; call right away so we can hold you a seat. October 15, 2006 - The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, in the Belk Theater. Adult actors portray six pubescent brainiacs in this sweet, hilarious show with songs by William Finn. According to one reviewer “it was absolutely hilarious and adorable. It may sound like a kids show, but it is definitely aimed at adults.
